Surgery complete and a success!

Today was a world wind day for us. We've walked like 5 miles pacing today I think. Her surgery started about 9:45 and ended around 2:45. Yep that's 5 hours long! We are thankful they took their time and she did well. Most all of the tumor was able to be removed. She's recovering now and the next 48 hours are crucial. If she can get to Saturday afternoon we will feel so much better! Also, the tumor was more spongy than they thought. We are still praying its the non cancerous slow growing tumor they initially thought. We will know those results tomorrow. The lab results are weighing heavy on my heart right now.

This has been a miserable experience to be honest. I can not imagine when people have to go through this with their children. My mom will be having brain surgery soon and it's so scary thinking about it. It's hard enough going through this with a dog, much less a human! One thing at a time though! Life always has challenges and Gods been with us the whole time as he will with the next challenge.

The phone calls, facebook post, and text today have have helped us out so much. You need to be lifted up during times like these. We appreciate the support we've received. My sweet friend Erin from high school sent us the prettiest flowers too. It really made us smile coming come to them!

We appreciate everyone that has offered and helped us with things. Getting another pup and Hayden situated is always tough. We will be traveling back and forth daily to Starkville to see her until she gets to come home.

For now we will enjoy that surgery went well and enjoy feeling blessed with all of the encouragement and prayers today. We will now pray for each of you for being our strength today when we felt so weak!

The good thing about this situation is Jeffrey and I have had time to ourself today. We were anxious and didn't really get to "enjoy" the time as much as normal, but we made the best of it. Lately we've struggled finding time to spend together with so much going on, so today was nice to have together. I think we have had dinner 3 times maybe since Hayden was born together? Today we walked around campus since God provided cloudy cooler skies. We went to the Chapel of Memories and prayed together. We even got to share a pizza at Stromboli's! I feel like we go non stop these days with no time for ourselves, so we found something good in a hectic situation. We are grateful for that.

We will update with news on Emma as we get it. Hopefully we can see her cage side tomorrow. Hayden and I will load up and make the drive since Jeffrey will be back at work.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers today. Keep them coming for the next 48 hours.

Challenge yourself to step out and be someone's strength this week. We all need uplifting Sometimes.
